Coming back for the 2025-2026 Winter Season!
Opening on November 21st, 2025
The Rink at Royal Oak is coming back for the 2025-2026 season. Grand Opening is planned for November 21st, 2025 including the Grand Opening of the Royal Oak Holidays! Stay tuned for what festive fun we will have on the grand opening and throughout the season.
Located in Centennial Commons
Centennial Commons opened to the public in 2021 to coincide with Royal Oak's 100th anniversary. The two-acre park is at the heart of a public-private development consisting of four projects, including a new city hall and police station.
The park design is compelling, creative, entertaining and transformative. Where there was once a parking lot and functionally obsolete buildings, there are now quality public gardens, lawns, play areas, a water feature and rock-climbing wall. The design layout provides visitors with spaces for relaxation, rejuvenation and recreation in center of a lively downtown.
The Barbara A Hallman Memorial Plaza, which is part of Centennial Commons, includes The Star Dream Fountain, a contemporary sculpture crafted by the late Marshall Fredericks, and the Veterans War Memorial. The memorial commemorates Canadian and U.S. Forces, and Royal Oak military service personnel who died in World Wars I and II, and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
